How we handle your information at Treadside — what we collect, what happens when you message us, and the cookies this site uses. No jargon.
Last updated: 8 June 2026
This website, treadside.co.uk, is operated by Treadside Mobile Tyre Fitting ("Treadside", "we", "us"), a mobile tyre fitting service covering North London and the surrounding commuter belt. We are the controller of any personal information you share with us.
If you have any questions about your information, reach us by WhatsApp or phone on 07380 373584, or by email at hello@treadside.co.uk.
When you contact us. If you message us on WhatsApp, call us, or use the quote form on this site, we receive the details you choose to give us — typically your name, your phone number, your vehicle registration or tyre size, your postcode or location, and anything else you include in your message.
How the quote form works. This website is a simple static site — it does not run a database and does not store your details on a server. When you fill in the quote form, it just opens WhatsApp (or your phone's dialler) with a message already typed out for you. Nothing is sent until you press send. Your message then reaches us through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta; their handling of it is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location (country, region and town), your device and browser type, and on-page actions such as tapping a Book or Call button. This information is aggregated and we do not use it to personally identify you.
We keep cookies to a minimum. The only non-essential cookies we use are set by Google Analytics (named _ga and _ga_…) to help us understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking analytics cookies won't stop you booking or using any part of the site.
Under UK data protection law we rely on these legal bases:
We do not sell your information. We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf so the business can run: Google (website analytics), Meta (WhatsApp messages), Netlify (website hosting) and Namecheap (our domain and email forwarding). Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
We keep WhatsApp and phone enquiries while we are dealing with your job and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then delete them. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form in line with Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months).
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your information, object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
Anything about your data — or your tyres — message us and we'll sort it.
