Screw in the tread or losing pressure overnight? We come to you, assess it honestly, and repair to British Standard where it's safe — or fit a new tyre on the spot if it isn't.
UK puncture repairs are governed by British Standard BS AU159, and we stick to it — it's what makes a repair safe rather than a bodge. In short: the damage must sit in the central area of the tread, be within size limits (roughly a 6mm hole), and the tyre must be sound once inspected from the inside. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder means replacement, no exceptions worth making.
That inside inspection matters: a tyre can look fine outside while the carcass is wrecked from being driven flat. We take the tyre off the wheel, inspect it properly, and only repair what's genuinely repairable.
Roadside string plugs are a get-you-home trick, not a repair. We fit a combination patch-plug from inside the tyre — sealing the liner and filling the injury channel — then rebalance the wheel. That's a permanent repair under the standard, at a fraction of the cost of a new tyre.
If the tyre can't be saved, no wasted visit: we carry tyres on the van, so a replacement goes straight on. Either way you're moving again in around half an hour. Honest verdicts only — if a repair is the cheaper safe option, that's what we'll recommend. See pricing.
If you're nearby but not listed, ask — the van travels. Send your postcode and we'll confirm.
Pop in your tyre size (on the sidewall, e.g. 205/55 R16) or your number plate, plus your postcode — we'll reply on WhatsApp with an all-in price.
Prefer to talk? Call 07380 373584 and read the size off the tyre — we'll quote on the spot.
Message your postcode and tyre size — we'll be with you, usually same day.
