The service

Repair first, replace only if needed

Most simple tread-area punctures — a screw, a nail — can be repaired safely and for much less than a new tyre. We assess the tyre first: where the damage is, how big it is, and the condition of the tyre overall.

Where a repair meets the British Standard (BS AU 159) rules, we repair. Where it doesn't — sidewall damage, large holes, or damage too close to the shoulder — we'll tell you straight and can supply and fit a replacement in the same visit, so you're never left stranded between appointments.

Either way, you'll know the full price before we do anything.

FAQ

Puncture & Tyre Repair — your questions

Can every puncture be repaired? +
No — and anyone who says yes is cutting corners. Repairs are only safe in the central tread area, within size limits, on a tyre in otherwise good condition. Sidewall damage can't be repaired. We assess first and tell you honestly.
Should I repair or replace? +
If the puncture is repairable to British Standard and the tyre has good tread left, a repair is the sensible choice. If it's borderline, we'll explain the options and you decide.
What if it can't be repaired? +
We can supply and fit a replacement tyre on the same visit — tell us your size or reg when you message and we'll have options ready.
Is a repaired tyre safe? +
Yes — a proper BS AU 159 repair restores the tyre for normal use. That standard exists precisely to define when a repair is safe.
I've got a slow puncture — can I keep driving on it? +
Best not to. Low pressure damages the tyre's structure and can turn a repairable puncture into a write-off. Message us and we'll get to you, usually same day.
